About this course

Light up your autumn and winter by making candle holders and in the later sessions, ceramic Christmas decorations! This eight-week course is suitable for beginners. It is an opportunity to learn ceramics in a relaxed, supportive and friendly environment, no experience needed.

You will learn how to hand build candle holders in a variety of shapes for tall candles and tealights, and make some Xmas decorations. You will explore various decorative techniques and the use of coloured slips, underglazes and glazes

About your tutor

Su Leaver has been a ceramicist and jeweller for over 30 years. She has a studio in Hackney and has led ceramics and other creative workshops in her studio and for schools, museums, businesses and charities.
