Situated near the Hackney Empire just off Mare Street the Darnley gallery, part of The Centre for Better Health is available to hire for exhibiting works of art by artists and art students.
The Darnley Gallery is an exhibition space located on the lower ground floor within our Centre for Better Health building. The space is available to hire for exhibiting art and hosting a private view.
As a local mental health charity, our main aim is to show art works that have some relation or a context that supports mental health issues and therefore it may not always be possible for all works to be displayed if we consider them unsuitable for our setting.
The gallery space is used during the week to host classes, so opening times to the public will vary and information on this would be provided depending on the month of your exhibition. We also have a café space at our social enterprise bakery on Stean St next to Haggerston Station where there may be an opportunity to show some of the art work at the same time as your exhibition.
The Darnley Gallery is located just off Mare St in Hackney and is very well connected to transport links such as Hackney Central and London Fields train stations and on numerous bus routes, including 48, 55, 106, 277, 394, D6 276.
